8.4 million Californians lack health coverage
The L.A. Times reported yesterday that the ranks of the uninsured have grown to 8.4 million in California. That means almost one in four Californians are without health insurance.
Although the passage of health reform this year was a major victory for the uninsured, most of its provisions don’t go into effect until 2013. In the meantime, Voices for America’s Children has taken up the challenge of getting more Americans insured.
