As millions remain jobless, food aid increasingly important
President Obama tonight will give an address to Congress on the economy, particularly employment. The jobs picture certainly is dismal, as unemployment remains around 9 percent nationwide. See how the number of Americans on food stamps has shot up with unemployment, and sign our petition to take action!

As our infographic shows, America’s jobs problem has quickly turned into a nutrition problem, as millions of Americans who have never before considered themselves “needy” must seek government aid. March 6, 2012 at 8:30 am by AaronI would like to respond to some grneeal comments. Democrats stand for the individual not the corporate in my view. So as such, we should protect those who are most vulnerable, the coal miner, labor, those with little or no voice . it only follows that we should stand for the unborn, the elderly and the disenfranchised.I am a Democrat who’s words and actions match. You may have heard me speak but you do not know who I am. I believe, by living in this great country of ours,I am man blessed by God, it is my natural duty to serve our fellow men in a sacrificial way. In this way, in my small way ,I can give thanks to Him for what he has given me. This is why I have spent my life helping the poor and those with out insurance at my clinic without any government assistance this is why I am a Democrat! Conservative Democrats are waking up and we don’t like what we are seeing. What makes you a Democrat? As far as marriage I couldn’t agree more. Marriage is a sacrament of the church and is the property of it .. therefore, it is a settled matter and should stay out of the courts. Individuals outside the church continue to try to use the courts to redefine marriage and when they stop we will stop. For now, we must defend the assault on our sacrament . where is our freedom of religion.
