CHIPRA turns 2: A milestone for child health
Two years ago today the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) was reauthorized, and the result has been healthier lives for millions of American children. CHIP helps families with modest incomes afford health care for their children, and its reauthorization meant the program could expand to help more children. Federal authorities announced yesterday that two million more children enrolled just last year.

Still, millions of children who are eligible for programs like CHIP are still unenrolled. States can help by streamlining the application process by removing obstacles like in-person interviews; learn more in our release.
