Floridians: Be heard in this month’s presidential debates!

In little more than a week, the presidential debates will come to Florida. Every candidate will promise a better future for our children, but how many will go deeper into the issues facing children and families — problems like education, health care and safety?

Only 2 percent of discussion at the presidential debates has been about kids’ issues, according to our recent report. Policy statements from all the candidates (including President Obama) likewise tend to lack serious discussion about kids in need. And the media is still not asking the candidates questions specifically about children and the next generation.

As part of a national campaign to demand more attention for children’s issues, we’re collecting the questions of ordinary Floridians. Come to our question crowd-sourcing site and add your voice, or vote on the questions Floridians have already asked! We’ll deliver your responses directly to the candidates and the debate moderators in time for the Florida debates on January 23 and 26.
