Insurance companies avoiding responsibility
Last month we discussed how many major insurance companies have stopped selling new child-only plans. Although the number of families seeking child-only plans is thought to be small and existing child-only plans will still be serviced, it’s still disturbing to see insurance companies do this just as families are beginning to benefit from health reform.

This week two child advocacy groups have a great letter to the editor about the insurance company pull out (bottom of page). Let’s join Voices for Georgia’s Children (Voices for America’s Children member) and Voices for Memphis’ Children (non-affiliated) in calling on the insurance companies to accept greater responsibility, and go beyond the minimum requirements of the law to get children health care.
