New report: Medicaid providing cost efficient coverage to low-income patients

Some in Congress are proposing cutting Medicaid by over $1.4 trillion as part of the general agitation over the federal budget. But Medicaid helps more than 28 million needy children get care. A new study confirms the importance of the program.

ThinkProgress has a nice write up about the study, which includes graphs proving the program to be cost-effectiveness, not to mention vital to the health of children. And don’t forget to oppose these kinds of program cuts using our action campaign!

I was awarded disability in May of this year. But told medicare was two years away.. is it? can I get any gov’t assistance? AND what was it, that got me the disabilty?
