New report: “No Place for Kids: The Case for Reducing Juvenile Incarceration”

The Annie E. Casey Foundation has a new report that examines juvenile incarceration in America. Titled “No Place for Kids: The Case for Reducing Juvenile Incarceration,” it shows how jailing our youth wastes taxpayer dollars and does little to reduce future offending.

The report also highlights promising reforms happening in several states to better serve both juvenile offenders and the public. The report uses these to recommend to states new ways to scale down their expensive and dangerous systems of juvenile incarceration in favor of more humane forms of rehabilitation. Learn more!
