Student shutterbugs win praise in photo contest

We thought we’d take a break from the world of budgets and policy to share the results of a student photography competition. Five winners were selected recently for the Through Your Lens photography contest, which challenged students to take photos of their schools. Winners included everything from a photo of a moldy textbook to a cute, kid’s eye-view of a deep blue playground slide.

Put on by the 21st Century School Fund, Critical Exposure and Healthy Schools Campaign, the contest not only celebrates budding photographers but also raises awareness of the need for high quality school facilities for our students. See all the winners here!
